Sorry I have been pretty quiet on the blog lately. Work, holidays and my daughter’s dance schedule has taken the wind out of my sails! Get ready cause I am hoping to play a little catch up today.

If you are from St. Louis than you will see that fall is long gone, in fact while I’m writing this, we are supposed to get snow today along with crazy frigid temperatures. Looking back on the Nelson Family session makes me miss autumn colors even though we had dreary skies for their session. In fact, it looked like it was going to rain the entire time till the very last five minutes of their session when the sun tried to peak out as it was setting. The last few shots from their session are my favorites!

This session was a lot of fun to shoot and different from what I normally do. You see the Nelson’s just moved into a gorgeous new home with a pretty spectacular backyard. We shot the session in their backyard actually! It was a fun way for them to celebrate their new home and it was the beginning of many memories they will share there.

The Nelson’s enjoy spending time together and watching their daughter Kenzie play baseball. She’s a pretty impressive ball player. She plays for her high school team IWA as well as another team. She keeps them pretty busy but they would have it no other way!

Thank you so much Nelson Family for letting me capture your family as well as commemorate your new family adventure in your new home. Congratulations, both your family and your new home is gorgeous.
