Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I have Mandy and Jake’s wedding for you to take a sneaky peek at. When I shot their engagement session, I knew I could not wait for their wedding. They were so full of spunk and just had a personality for days. Their wedding day certainly did not disappoint. Although there were some glitches (like the unity candle dumping wax all down Jake’s jacket, having to take shelter at the Ameristar Casino since there was a tornado in the area and then getting stuck outside in monsoon rain even though it was sunny out) their day was absolutely magical. They were so in love and it was so evident watching them pray together before their ceremony. It was such an emotional experience for them as a couple and for those of us lucky enough to witness it. Music was really important to them as well and their ceremony was full of wonderful music. Mandy and Jake even danced up the aisle as husband and wife.  Their reception was an absolute blast. It was held at  Duchesne High School where Mandy went to high school. Talk about awesome! They made one heck of an entrance and the party just kept going from there. Yes Mandy started the cake fight and Jake most certainly ended it. It was a cake smash like I’ve not ever seen before. Mandy smelled like cake the rest of the night. Oh I forgot to mention the cake was funfetti! I also got to witness my first what the kids call Icing. Mandy hid the Smirnoff Ice (I bet you can guess where) and Jake obliged. Did I mention this was a huge celebration party? It ended with a unique daughter/father and mother/son dance. They both did mash ups. Their quests were on their feet. Mandy and Jake, thank you so much for letting me be part of your special day. You are an absolutely amazing couple and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
