Thanks for stopping by. Welcome if this is your first time visiting and if you are returning, I’m so glad to see you again! If you are returning you may recognize this sweet family on the blog today. I have had the opportunity to photograph Meredith and Brent for some time. I captured their wedding shower, Meredith telling Brent she was pregnant, her baby shower, their maternity session, Emelia’s newborn session and now their family session. It has been a dream following them throughout their lives and capturing their special memories.

So what a difference a week makes. The previous weekend the temperature was gorgeous! This weekend…. absolutely freezing. Like I had to break out my gloves and heavy coat. I felt soooo bad for Meredith, Brent and little Emelia for braving the cold and INSANE winds. The wind gusts were 35 MPH and you felt every bit of it. Out in the open fields Emelia struggled to open her eyes against the wind. She had such a cute look on her face trying to figure out what was going on! She also had the cutest little rosy cheeks and super red nose. Emelia is such a doll! By the way she is Meredith’s mini me. It’s like looking in a mirror!!

Emelia was a bit unsure at our session. She wanted to be held and wouldn’t sit alone. She especially wanted her mamma. Poor Brent and I were chopped liver but she eventually realized she was a model and gave up some sweet smiles. There is nothing sweeter than baby smiles actually. Towards the end of our session we were all frozen fish sticks and couldn’t wait to get into the heated car. She was a good sport and we got some great shots. Meredith was hoping to catch some fall colors and we grabbed those as well. All in all a win!

Yes I know I said “sweet” a ton but it’s the perfect word for this family! Enjoy a few snapshots of Meredith, Brent and Emelia’s family session.
