So at last we have come full circle with sweet Emilia Marie! I had the privilege of shooting the surprise announcement where Meredith told Brent he was going to be a daddy, Meredith’s baby shower, her maternity session (she was gorgeous so please check out that blog post) and now Emilia’s newborn session. This has been such a fantastic journey for the Foster Family. Thank you so much for letting me be there every step of the way!
Emilia was a dream to photograph. She slept the ENTIRE time and we were able to fly through props. I was giddy!! When you photograph newborns, every newborn is completely different. They all have such distinct little personalities even at a week old. It’s always interesting to see what poses they like or don’t like. Emilia was like whatever you want!
I love how much we were also able to incorporate into the session things that were near and dear to Meredith. Meredith is a teacher and she wanted to create an image of a teacher’s pet. I think we pulled it off! Emilia will be a star student, I just know it. If you know Meredith you also know she loves bunnies! Like everyone in the school district we both work for knows she loves bunnies and ducks. Randomly the morning of Emilia’s session I remembered I had bunny ears. We definitely had to use them. Oh my goodness was Emilia cute in those ears! Meredith also brought in her wedding veil which was so sweet and sentimental. Emilia looked so sweet draped in her momma’s veil. What an awesome memory for them to cherish together. Lastly her nursery is mint and blush and I had the perfect little hats for Emilia to wear. I seriously was dressing this baby up! Remember I said she was a dream to photograph!
Enjoy some snip-its from her session. I couldn’t narrow it down very well so there’s lots to look at. Thanks Meredith and Brent for allowing me to capture your sweet little girl. She will be dancing across the stage before you know it.
